Wool Braided Rugs

Wool Braided Rugs come in many different sizes. Small to large area rugs. Hand braiding a rug was a time consuming task, but when completed made for a very durable rug, which would last for many months, if not years.

Care of Wool Braided Rugs

Caring for a braided rug meant taking it outside and hanging it over the clothes line or in the olden days, the fence. A sturdy old rug beater was used to whack it clean. If it required washing, it was done by hand and left out to dry. Normally the rug was not laundered very often. Perhaps once in the Spring when the sun was warm enough to dry it, and again before the winter set in.
